THE WINNER

On Friday, 15 July 2005, the prize on the Steve Wright Show's 'Big quiz' on BBC2 radio was tickets to the Festival of Quilts at the NEC, Birmingham and a wall quilt designed and made by myself. The quilt was won by Mr C Jones of Shrewsbury. I met him, his wife and their little baby at the Festival of Quilts during August where we discussed the design of the quilt. 'Shrewsbury Garden' is the final result.

The quilt is hand-painted, appliqued, machine embroidered and quilted and beaded. Fabrics include satins, silks, organza and tulle.

Mr. and Mrs Jones tell me that they love their quilt.
